The next Public Hearing for the IDA regarding the Ginsberg project will be held on October 1, 2014 at 7pm at the Claverack Town Hall located at 836 Route 217 in Mellenville.

I wanted to let you know of the action taken by the Columbia County IDA at their meeting this morning concerning the Ginsberg's project. I will also outline the next steps that need to be taken prior to final IDA approval.
This morning the IDA voted unanimously to accept the company's application and authorize the IDA Executive Director to set the date, time and location for a public hearing.
1) Attached is a memorandum prepared for the IDA Board that outlines the requested (and negotiated) terms of IDA agreement as well as calculated economic benefits. The memo outlines the sales tax savings, mortgage recording tax savings and the structure of a proposed PILOT for the company. Click here to view memorandum.

The Town of Ghent regretfully announces that Ghent Community Day will not be held for the year 2014. The Town will resume Community Day festivities at a later date to be announced.
